The new single 'CLOCKIN'' from South London's mystic Greentea Peng is a soft and seductive love song. Dropped on the artist's birthday, this is the first release since her well-received debut EP RISING. The new single has a care-free sentiment, thanks to the wispy synthesiser that slides up and down, as if unveiling esoteric secrets. Later, synth pads and jazzy guitar runs are added to the mix. Greentea sings in monotone, and overdubs with soulful ad-lib on the line "I’ve been clocking you, clocking me from across the stream". Later, she sings "You look me in my eyes and I play under the sheets with you". Throughout the song, she uniquely blends her own verbal expression through elements of singing, spoken word and rap. Hefty beats and a wobbly sub bass give unforgiving sexy undertones to this tune.
